Having a professional online presence for your music is essential for all artists. Your website can be used to sell music and merchandise, keep fans informed about upcoming shows, and promote your music.
You’ll notice when you look under the hood that your list of visitors gives you an idea of who your customers are, what their interests are, and from where they come.
We recently updated our Reports feature to include advanced stats to help you better understand your audience. We are proud to present page-level stats for your website to you!
The Reports tab can be used to connect page-level data
To access the latest page-level statistics, you will need to link your Reports tab with Google Analytics. We will pull data from Google Analytics and then distill it in your Reports tab to help you determine trends.
After you have set it up, you can track the data of your website’s visitors by selecting “Page Stats” on the left-hand side of your Reports Tab.
Inspecting your website’s analytics can be both informative and enjoyable, even for those who are creative. Take a look at the possibilities of page-level statistics from your website.
Analysis of fan behavior on each page
As a musician, you can read the room to try and understand your fans. You can then adjust to their tastes if you like. You can find out if your fans use a mobile phone, what songs they listen to, and from where they visit.
You can use visitor location to discover a place that is not well-known for a tour or to find out if the media noticed your release in a particular region. You can, for example, search the location pages on your Shows and Tours by state to find out where fans are coming from.
You can track the social media platforms that your fans use to access a particular page on your website. These details may help you decide where to concentrate your next promotion efforts.
Creating Smart Links for an Album Promotion
The promotion of new music involves evaluating previous releases to see which strategies have worked and which have not. You can create a page with Smart Links to promote your music.
You can view the inbound and outbound links for your Smart Links after you have added your streaming service and promoted your page. These data points let you know where your fans are coming from and what they do after they visit your Smart Links page.
You can monitor the success of marketing campaigns by using page-level information that is built into your website. Try Bandzoogle today!
Landing pages can be used to inform marketing campaigns
You can create custom landing pages on your website to guide your marketing efforts. Then, check the statistics to see if these pages are helping you achieve your goals. Your Landing Pages are listed separately in the Reports section for easy access.
The data on each page can be used to measure the success of a campaign or set of ads in driving traffic to a specific Landing Page. Inbound sources show which promotional campaigns are driving traffic. Outbound link clicks tell you where visitors go from your Landing Page.
These data can inform your next project by focusing on a specific social media platform, such as Facebook, to increase your audience.
All pages have page-level data.
Now, in addition to Smart Links and Landing Pages, each page on your website includes these additional statistics. This will help you optimize your pages on the entire website.
Try using a call to action in the Header section if you want to grow your mailing list. Try it and see if you can get more signups this way.
You can see what songs your fans are playing or skipping, which gives you a good idea of which songs are popular on your Music page or which tracks are grabbing the attention of industry professionals on your EPK page.
